Who we are - The Stocksbridge Development Forum is a unique partnership between local businesses & the UK Government. Based in the township of Stocksbridge near Sheffield, the forum is a not for profit organisation limited by guarantee.

What we do - Jointly funded by the UK government & local businesses, the SBDF supports and encourages growth in both existing and new business by offering practical help and advice. This is given by people who actually run their own business and, therefore, fully understand the problems faced by business today.

Why we are here - Part funded through the Objective One Initiative, the SBDF was formed by a group of local businesses in response to the low number of business 'start ups' being formed in the area and, in part, to the reduction in labour requirements from the area's largest single employer, Corus - formerly British Steel.

How can you contact us? - We are open during the week from 10 am until 4:00 pm (please phone to check)
